  • Save as SQL Server Database: The saving option, "Save as SQL Server Database," allows you to save the recovered output automatically in your SQL Server database. You will need to enter the name of the server in the Server Nqw2ame box and the name of the database in the Database box. Then, you need to choose your Authentication, either Windows Authentication or Server Authentication. If you want to select Server Authentication, you need to enter the Username and Password. What is the difference between MDF database and NDF database in Microsoft SQL Server?

Microsoft SQL Server stores all the tables (system tables & user tables) and other file objects such as, indexes, views, triggers, stored procedures, rules, user-defined functions, keys, etc. into a database file. There are two types of database files used by SQL Server: MDF and NDF are the primary and secondary database of SQL Server respectively. Generally, SQL Server creates MDF file to store all the data. However, when it becomes too large, SQL Server creates an NDF file to store more data. The fundamental unit of data storage in NDF File is Page, where the size of each page is 8 KB. Each NDF file uses the same filename as the corresponding MDF file. For example, if the primary database is saved by this name, "mydb.mdf," and the secondary database will be, "mydb.ndf," then the secondary database cannot be opened without attaching the primary database to Microsoft SQL Server.

In case of corruption, users need to perform recovery from both MDF and NDF files to retrieve complete data. The SQL Database Recovery Software supports MDF as well as NDF in order to perform successful recovery from corrupt database. Recovery from NDF files is only supported with Advanced Mode.
