In this article, I will let you learn some process to get access on the unsaved, lost or deleted Notepad ++ files on Windows 10, 8 or 7. Don’t worry if you have lost your Notepad++ files!! People may think that it is very complicated to recover deleted Notepad plus files but in most cases, you just need to know where to search for your documents. If you’re not familiar with document recovery, today we’ll show you how to easily recover Notepad documents on your PC.
There can be situations where a .txt notepad file gets accidentally deleted, perhaps by yourself or by some third-party process. However, there are still some chances to recover deleted .txt files. Here in this article, I will share some tips for Notepad document recovery in Windows 10.
Computer’s Recycle Bin is the first place where a deleted file or documents get stored. If you haven’t permanently deleted the notepad++ file, then you can probably recover deleted documents from there.
This will restore your text file in the place from where it was deleted.
You could recover the deleted Notepad++ document from the AppData folder. This folder holds the temporary files and it is possible that you can find your file stored there.
If cannot find your text files in the AppData folder then you could try to recover its back with the help of SysInfoTools Deleted file Recovery Software; explained in the next method how!
You can get deleted text file or files back in their original form. It doesn’t matter how you deleted the files, be it with a simple delete button or Shift + Del + Enter. You can try the free version of SysInfo Deleted File Recovery Software and follow the steps as:
Free Download the software and Install it in your system, Run the software.
1. Select a volume to scan for the Notepad text files.
2. Choose the Recovery Modes; This will scan the drive for the text document which searches for it sector-by-sector.
3. After the selected volume gets scanned. Click OK.
4. Here you can see the recovered file folder preview panel.
5. Select the text files to retrieve and press the Save button.
6. Choose the path to save the restored Notepad or text file on your system or another drive.
Though the Backed up files are not going to help you recover the deleted text file. But keeping backups ensure you that you can restore documents if their originals are ever deleted.
Now Windows will back up the selected folders whenever you insert a USB drive(previously inserted USB). So, now you can easily find the backup copies of any Notepad documents that was disappeared.
If you are regular in maintaining your back up then it is easy to retrieve Notepad plus documents if saved in the backup file, you will never need software.
