Software Guide for SysInfo OneDrive Duplicate Finder & Remover

Step-1:
Download and Launch Software

Install and run the SysInfo OneDrive Duplicate Finder and Remover Tool on your browser.

Choose Sign In Option

Opt for the account type you want to use: Personal or Business. Then, click Sign In.

Sign In OneDrive Account

Now, select your valid account or enter the login details to sign in and verify your identity. (Ensure that your OneDrive ID is open in your default browser.)

Preview OneDrive Storage

Here, you can preview the OneDrive Storage Summary for your selected account. It shows account details, storage usage, and timestamp.

Check OneDrive Folders

Next, click the Scan All Folders option to begin scanning for duplicate files. You can click it at the bottom or from the left pane.

Further, a list of all the files and folders linked to the selected account appears.

Search OneDrive Duplicates

Here, you can pick the files to check for duplicates in the chosen folder. Then, press Find Duplicate Files from the left or the bottom.

Please wait while the tool completes scanning the duplicate files. A pop-up message appears, displaying the total number of duplicate files and groups found in your folder. Click OK.

Review Duplicate Pages

In the next panel, all duplicate files are listed for review and management. If the dataset is too large and spread across several pages, click Next to go to the next page and Previous to return to the previous one.

Duplicate Selection Options

Next, under the Select Duplicates feature, you’ll find several options, such as:

  • Retain the newest file in each group: This option selects the most recent duplicate files, except all the others, using time-based sorting.
  • Retain the oldest file in each group: This selects all older duplicates except the latest one, again based on time.
  • Unselect All: Deselects all the selected duplicate files from the OneDrive.

Note: The tool also has a View option beside every file to check the data before eliminating the duplicates. It helps reduce the risk of data loss and errors.

Duplicate Elimination Options

In the final section of this tab, i.e., Delete Options, you’ll see two options:

  • Delete Permanently: This option permanently removes the duplicate files from your account and cannot be restored.
  • Move to Bin: This option moves the duplicate files to the trash, allowing you to remove them temporarily and restore them later as required.

Confirm Duplicate Removal

After that, a pop-up appears asking for confirmation to delete the files, either permanently or temporarily. Press OK to proceed.

Please wait while the excellent tool deletes the OneDrive duplicate files from your selected account and folders. Once done, click OK to continue.

After completing the action, the software displays the following results with a completion status for file deletion:

  • Total Files: Number of duplicate files removed from the account.
  • Released Size: Total disk space that has been freed from OneDrive.
  • Duplicate File Name: Names of the files identified as duplicates in the drive.
  • File Path: Location of each duplicate file on the drive.

Generate Duplicate Removal Report

Finally, click Generate Report to download the report for OneDrive duplicate removal. A pop-up appears informing of the download completion. Click OK.

Analyze Report

Later, you can view the download report on your computer system in Excel.
