Steps to Upgrade and Downgrade Outlook PST Files

Step-1:
Launch the Software

Start the SysInfo Upgrade and Downgrade PST Tool as an administrator on your system. It will show you a pop-up: Choose MS Outlook version, either 32-bit or 64-bit.

File Selection Buttons

The application window will appear on the screen.

  • Add PST Files:- It allows you to add PST files.
  • Search PST Files:- It will enable you to search PST files on your PC.
  • Remove:- To remove the specific one from the list.
  • Remove All:- To remove all the added PST files from the list.

Step-3:
Browse PST Files

Click on the Add PST Files option to browse the Outlook data files. A pop-up appears- ‘Please make sure that the PST file is not corrupted.’ Click Ok.

Select PST Files

Select the PST files to upgrade or downgrade from your system and click the Open button.

Preview Added PSTs

Once you have added PST files, here, you can preview the added PST files. Click the Next button to proceed further.

Step-6:
Select Saving Path

Next, click on the Browse button to select the output folder path.

Step-7:
Specify Location

You will see all folders of your system. Either you will select a desktop or another preferred location

Step-8:
To Upgrade PST

Choose Convert ANSI to Unicode option; if you want to convert Outlook 2000 version PST files to Outlook(2003-2019).

To Downgrade PST

Choose Convert Unicode to ANSI option; if you want to convert Outlook(2000-2019) to Outlook version 2000.

Step-10:
Additional Filters
  • Add new PST file(s) in Outlook profile:- Enable this radio button to import the resultant PST file into the Outlook account.
  • Exclude Deleted Items(s):- It allows you to remove the deleted items from the PST file.
  • Remove Duplicates in Outlook PST file(s):- It allows you to remove all the duplicate items from the Outlook PST file.

Step-11:
Initiate Conversion

Click on the Convert PST files button to start the upgrade or downgrade process.

If Using Demo Tool

Keep in mind that, the demo version of the software will convert only 25 items per folder.

Conversion Complete

Finally, the conversion process is completed successfully. Do you want to close the application? Click Ok.
