Guide to Convert Pegasus Mail Files to Different File Formats

Step-1:
Download and Install

Install the SysInfo Pegasus Mail Converter Software as an administrator on your OS.

Conversion Cycle

This tool simplifies conversion in three easy steps:

  • Select Source & Preview: Where you can add your Pegasus files for conversion and check their integrity.
  • Saving Options & Filters: This will provide you with multiple formats to secure your Pegasus files with advanced controls.
  • Convert: Here, you will be able to pick up the final destination and save your converted Pegasus file.

Options for Source File Upload

Under the first step, within Source, you get two options to upload your Pegasus files:

  • Add Pegasus Folder: With it, you can add an entire folder containing multiple Pegasus PMM files within it.
  • Add Pegasus File (.PMM): It allows you to choose single or multiple Pegasus files from the PC for the upload.

Until you choose a file, it displays “No file selected” at the bottom left of the window.

Add Pegasus Files

Choose either of the Add options and browse for PMM files on your system. Select one or more and click Open to load the files into the software.

Check Uploaded Files

Once the files are uploaded, the left panel displays the total number of Pegasus files selected from a particular location along with the number of emails found in each.

Emails within PMM File

Furthermore, double-click any PMM file to display all contained emails in the center panel. Also, the specific email count for the selected file is shown at the bottom left of the interface.

Note: “A single page can represent upto 50 emails.”

Search Emails

Within the Email tab, you can use the Search bar to locate any specific email with a keyword on the basis of From, Subject, and To. The search status is shown at the bottom left.

Preview Pegasus Emails

Double-click on any email and you can check its Preview in the right panel. The Preview shows the metadata and email body content of the email to verify its integrity before the final conversion.

Select Pegasus Mail to Convert

Afterward, check the PMM files to include for the conversion from the left, and you can see the count of total selected files below it. Tap Next: Saving Options to proceed further.

Output Formats

Moving to the next step, you get a list of different saving file formats to choose from. You can pick any format as desired. Say, PST.

Advanced Options

In the left panel, you get different filters, and in the right pane, some other smart features - explained deeply below. Note that “Choosing these filters and features is completely optional as per your requirements.”

Date Range Filter

Toggle on the Enable Date Filter option to pick a Start and End date from the calendar for the particular period you need to move the Pegasus emails to Outlook PST.

Attachment Options

You can either choose to move Pegasus emails: only with attachments or only without attachments, as required for effective data outputs.

Sender/Subject Filtration

Using this filter, you can pick a specific Senders and Subject on the basis of which Pegasus emails need to be converted.

Read Status and Size

Here, you can choose to move only the unread emails by checking the box “Unread emails only”. Also, you can pick a specific email size of Pegasus emails to be moved. It can vary as: All sizes, Small (< 100KB), Medium (100KB - 1MB), and Large (>1MB).

Save Mails By Keywords

Moving ahead, you can pick Pegasus emails for conversion based on specific keywords based on To, From, and Subject. You can use Add to input the Keyword and use Remove All to eliminate them if not required.

Migration Options

Besides the above filters, you get some more advanced feature options as:

  • Migrate emails without attachment files: Use it to move only the Pegasus email content and not the attachments embedded with it for storage optimization.
  • Maintain folder structure: This feature helps preserve the original folder hierarchy of the emails to ensure no data loss happens.
  • Use date-based naming for output files: It saves your resultant files with email date names in the format (YYYY_MM_DD_Subject).
  • Custom Folder Name: With it, you can add a unique name for your output file of choice for easy identification at the target destination.

Save Location & Convert

Finally, tap Browse and choose your targeted output folder to save Pegasus emails as PST. Click Open and then press Next: Convert to start processing.

Conversion Processing

In the final window, you can check the live log of the Pegasus emails being converted. It also displays the number of files being converted, a summary of the data converted, and the current file name.

Besides this, it has a Stop button at the bottom right which you can use to pause the process in between to free storage or any other reason if required.

Convert Pegasus to PST

Once the conversion finishes, you can check the following in the last panel:

  • Total number of emails converted, skipped, or errors
  • Live log of the conversion process
  • Job ID and process status
  • Conversion summary with details like Format, Job ID, Converted, Skipped, Errors, and Status
  • The Current File Name: It generally displays Finished after the conversion completes.

Besides this, it gives you an option to Start Over to perform more conversions in the same or other formats. Or, you can click Open Output Folder, and it will display your converted emails.

Follow the steps 1 to 9 as you did earlier in converting Pegasus to PST, and then resume here:

Output Formats

From the list of different saving file formats, choose PDF.

PDF Export Options

Once you select PDF, a PDF export dialog appears with the following options:

  • Multiple PDFs: To create one PDF per email for the selected Pegasus
  • Single PDF: Secure all the Pegasus emails in one PDF file
  • Embedded Attachments: It will save attachments as pages in the PDF file

Choose as required and tap Continue to proceed ahead.

Apply Filters
