Launch the MSG to MBOX Converter Tool on your system. Run it as an administrator.

In the opening wizard, select either of the two options: Single File/Multiple Files or Select Folder. Tap Next.

To add single or multiple files, click on the Select Files tab. To add an entire folder, click Select Folder. Also, click Remove to eliminate an individual file and Remove All for all the files not required or added accidentally.

Browse and locate the MSG files (or folder). Select the file to add to your software wizard and click Open.

After successfully opening files, you can review the added MSG files in the window. Click the Next button to proceed.

Expand the tree structure showing all chosen MSG files. Double-click on any MSG Email to preview the contents and attachments. Use the Search option to locate files based on a specific keyword. Tick the checkboxes in the left panel to select files.

Click the Preview on Browser, and you can check the data in the MSG emails on the web. Tap Next to proceed further.

To convert MSG to MBOX Format, choose the MBOX option in File Formats.

You can also apply additional options and filters to enhance the output as:

• Remove Duplicate: To find and prevent the conversion of duplicate emails from your files.
• Migrate or Backup Emails without Attachment Files: You can exclude converting attachment files.
• Skip Previous Migration: To move only the emails that were not extracted before the process was halted.
• Date Filter: Check this option and insert a selective period (Start and End Date) for your MBOX files.
• Custom Name: Specify the name of your resultant folder in the Custom Folder Name column.
• Extract Email from MSG: This filter allows you to extract specific data from MSG files and save it in other formats.

This filter allows you to choose which specific MSG file data (Email IDs, Phone Numbers, URLs, or Attachments) you want to extract. Select one and click Extract to view them.

You can check emails, phone numbers, and URLs, and pick CSV or XLSX Format to save them on the PC separately. Tap Save to complete.

It is different to extract the attachments from MSG files. You can choose to extract them on the basis of size and create a folder for each attachment. Simply, click Save to store them on the PC.

Click Path to Save to select a folder where you want to secure your resultant MBOX files. Click Open. Press Convert to change the formats.

Note: The Naming Convention feature is available only with a few file formats.

Once the MSG file conversion is complete, click OK. To download the conversion report, click Download Report. Moreover, using the Convert Again button, start the migration once more.

Finally, the downloaded CSV opens with your Exce,l and you can view the detailed report for MSG to MBOX conversion.
