Software Guide for SysInfo MSG to CSV Converter

Go through this stepwise process to convert your Outlook message data into the CSV format.

Step-1:
Install the Software

Download, install, and run the SysInfo MSG File to CSV Converter Tool as an administrator.

Choose Radio Option

Pick any one radio feature, either Single File/Multiple Files or Select Folder, and click Next.

MSG File Options

Moving ahead, you get two options to add and two to manage the uploaded MSG files. These are:

  • Select File(s): Use this option to add one or more MSG files into the software for conversion.
  • Select Folder: Choose it to upload one or more folders containing multiple MSG files for batch conversion.
  • Remove: It helps to eliminate any one uploaded file at a time that isn’t required.
  • Remove All: Selecting this option allows you to exclude all the added MSG files if not required to convert.

Live Support

Press the Live Chat button, and you will be redirected to the browser with a form. Fill it to get the support as you require.

Add MSG Files

Using any of the Select options, choose the MSG file and folder for upload. Click Open to load.

Step-6:
Check Details and Proceed

Verify the details of the added MSG file, like Name, Path, Type, and Size. If you find everything correct, click Next.

Expand Tree Hierarchy

Once the files are scanned, click OK and expand the tree view on the left to check out all folders and subfolders.

Use Search

After your files are loaded, double-click any folder from the tree structure to view files within it. Use the Search option to find any specific email file by a particular keyword.

Preview MSG Files

Double-click on your file and press Preview to check the metadata and email body content. You can click Attachments to view them too.

Browser Preview

Check the box for the Preview on Browser option and double-click the email to preview. You will be redirected to the browser, and you can check the content.

Select MSG Files

Now, choose the particular emails from the tree and click Next to proceed further.

Choose Saving Format

After you are done verifying the data integrity, choose CSV format from the drop-down list.

Apply Filters

Use the following advanced controls to ensure your data is clean and ready to convert before final transfer:

  • Remove Duplicate Mail: It allows you to exclude redundant emails on the basis of To, From, Subject, Body, and CC.
  • Migrate or Backup Email without Attachment Files: Use it to export the emails without attachment files with only email data.
  • Skip Previous Migration: Use this to skip already migrated emails to ensure no data is replicated, and emails are transferred uniquely.
  • Date Filter: This allows migrating emails for a particular period to ensure only selective data is migrated.
  • Custom Folder Name: It allows you to give a unique name to the resultant data file for easy identification.

Step-14:
Extract Email from EML

You can view this feature in the above screenshot. If you click it, a new dialog opens with options to extract Email Address, Phone Number, URL, and Attachments separately on the OS. You can select any option and click Extract.

Step-15:
Save Extracted Data

If you have opted for Email Address, Phone Number, and URL, you can check the listed data to verify and then save it on the system in either CSV or XLSX format of yur choice. Choose one format and click Save.

Step-16:
Extract MSG Attachments

For attachments embedded with your MSG file, you get two different options for extraction. It includes:

  • Extract Attachments Based on Size: This is where you can choose to extract attachments by a default size either up to or more than 50 KB/MB.
  • Create Folder for Each MSG File Attachment: This will create a separate folder for each attachment in your MSG file.

Press Save to complete the securing of your MSG email attachments.

Step-17:
Select Destination and Convert

Afterward, click Path to Save to opt for a specific folder location of choice to save the resultant CSV files. Click Convert to save the data.

Download Report

Once the conversion completes, click OK for the Process Completed message. Also, press Convert Again to restart the process or Download Report to get a CSV log for audit and analysis.
