Download the MBOX Converter and install it on your system. Launch the tool as an administrator, then click Continue.
Click on any of the following options to add MBOX files:
Now, click Select MBOX File(s), browse to the location of your MBOX files, choose the desired file, and click Open.
Alternatively, if you click Select Profiles, the Thunderbird profile will be imported automatically into the panel.
Once the files are added, they will be displayed on the screen for verification. If needed, you can remove specific files by clicking Remove Selected or delete the complete list using Clear List.
After confirming the MBOX files you want to convert, select them individually or use the Select All option. Then, click Proceed.
A tree structure containing all mailbox folders will appear on the left panel. Click Expand All Folders to view all the folders at once.
Once expanded, you can click Collapse All Folders to minimize the folder list. You can also enter a keyword in Search Folders to find specific results or folders within the tree structure.
Double-click on any folder in the tree structure to view its contents in a table format. Use the Advanced Search box to enter any keyword and find related data. You can further refine the results using filters like To, From, and Subject.
To view the content of any email, double-click on it. The software allows you to preview the message in different formats, including HTML Body, Plain Text, Headers, MIME, Raw HTML, and Attachments.
If the email preview does not load properly in the software, click Open in Browser (if preview fails) to view the content in your web browser.
Once you are done reviewing the data, choose the required folders from the tree structure and click Proceed.
The tool provides different email clients as saving options. Select Microsoft 365 from the Export to Email Clients option. Then, log in with valid credentials.
Enter your Office 365 email address and click Authenticate. The tool will redirect you to the browser to complete the sign-in process. Alternatively, you can also log in using application credentials.
Note: The Naming Convention feature is available only with a few file formats.
The tool offers several built-in settings to simplify the conversion process. These include:
Use the Duplicate Detection option to identify duplicate emails during the process. When selected, duplicate emails will be removed based on fields such as To, From, Body, Subject, and CC.
After applying the required settings, click the Start Export button to begin the process.
Once the export process is completed, click Close. Then, click Export Log to save the report in CSV format. If you want to convert more MBOX files, click Start New Export.
