Step by step guide to recover inaccessible, deleted or corrupt OST file

STEP 1

Download and launch the Sysinfo OST file repair tool. Now choose 32-bit or 64-bit depending upon your MS Outlook version and then click OK button.

Now click in the checkbox of "Handle Alignment errors in OST files" and "Auto Detect" to identify OST file type. If your OST file is encrypted, choose the encryption type accordingly and click on OK button.

In a few seconds, scanning process will be completed and in the right pane all the items will be displayed in the tree structure. Click “OK” to proceed.

You can preview all your mail items now. Select the emails you want to preview in details.

Choose the mailbox folder you want to save and click on “save” button from the taskbar. Now select the location where you want to save the recovered OST file and click “OK”.

Now choose the file format among EML, DBX, MSG, PST, MBOX and Archive to save the output file. Also, click on the checkbox of “Hirerachy starts without Top of Personal Folder in MS Outlook” and “Attach PST file to MS Outlook”. Then click “OK” to proceed.

Within a short duration, saving process will be completed. Now click “OK” to exit.

Steps to import recovered OST file to MS Outlook

STEP 01

First of all open the MS Outlook. Go to “File” in the menu and then click on “Import and Export”.

Choose “Import from another program or file” and click “Next”.

Select Outlook data file i.e. Personal Folder File(.pst) and click “Next”.
