Software Guide for SysInfo Google Drive Duplicate Finder
Step-1:
Download and Run the Tool

Download and run the SysInfo Google Drive Duplicate Finder as an administrator. Tap Launch.

Account Sign In

You will be redirected to the browser for signup. Click Login using Google to connect with the SysInfo Google Drive Duplicate Remover.

Choose a Google Account

Ensure that your Google Account is already logged in on the browser for easy authentication. Pick your Google account through which you need to log in.

Step-4:
Complete Google Verification

Once you select the account, a standard Google security warning for non-Marketplace apps appears. As the tool works locally and doesn’t store any data, it is only for permission to access your Google Drive files for duplicate detection. Click

Advanced→ Go (Unsafe).

Note: No emails, contacts, or personal data from your Drive or Google Account is read. If you have any concerns, you can revoke authentication access anytime from Google Account settings.

Grant Permissions

Now, press the checkbox to enable backup, along with access to your Gmail and Drive data. Click on the Continue button.

Begin First Scan

Select “My Drive” or “Shared With Me”. Or pick the specific folders of your Drive for the scan and click the Start the Scan button to initiate the process.

Step-7:
Scanning Drives

Once you hit the Scan button, the process is initiated to load the Drive data. You can use the Stop button to halt the scan process in between.

Preview Storage Summary

After scanning completes, you’ll see a Storage Summary showing Total Drive Space, Used Space, and Free Space insights. Also, you can check details like duplicates, hidden files, not owned by me, and empty folders.

Moreover, the right-side panel, when expanded, gives quick access to your Account Details, Activation Options, Key Actions, and Support without disrupting your workflow.

Step-9:
Browse Google Drive Files

Now, there are three options using which you can check the Google Drive Files and data. These are:

  • Browse File by Groups
  • Files by Category
  • Folders by Category

They show the total number of files and storage space used by each file type. It also helps identify space-consuming file formats with duplicates for better storage management.

Check Google Drive Files by Category

Select the File by Category option from the left panel to check files grouped on different bases. You can find them separated according to duplicates (same folder), hidden, empty, large, old, not owned by me, temporary, by type, custom view, and trash for easy and simplified management.

Analyze Google Drive Folder by Category

The Folder by Category option identifies empty or unused folders to remove drive clutter, free storage space, and keep Google Drive organised. It helps improve the overall drive management and productivity with quick folder review and cleanup.

Browse Google Drive by File Groups

The Browse File by Groups feature of the software automatically groups Google Drive files into categories like Documents, Photos, Audio, Video, ZIP, and Others for easy review.

Step-13:
Apply Filters

Filters are a great source to quickly locate and remove unwanted files or folders by narrowing results. There are multiple advanced filters in this software to clean your Google Drive easily, like:

  • Creation Date: Use it to locate Drive files within a selected date range.
  • Owners: This filter helps search files by specific owner IDs for easy removal.
  • File Types: With this filter, view specific file formats to delete unwanted files.
  • Size: It helps find large files or specific file size drive data rapidly.
  • Folder: Choose this to select a particular folder to manage its duplicate files.

Choose Duplicate Files

You can also use the Select option to quickly narrow down the files on the current page (up to 500) on the basis of None, All, Newest, or Oldest.

Move Google Drive Files

After the filters are applied and all duplicates are located, you can select them manually and use the Move option. It lets you securely Move All or Move Selected Google Drive files to another folder destination on your drive with ease.

Bulk Deletion Options

Use the Bulk Delete option to automatically remove all files in a selected category at once, saving time. Choose to Delete All files or Move All to Trash (temporary deletion) for retrieval later, if needed.

Selective Deletion

Use the Delete Selected button to selectively remove duplicate files permanently or temporarily. Choose either the Delete Selected or the Trash Selected option as desired.

Confirm Duplicate Deletion

Once you have selected all the files, applied the filters, and checked everything, press Delete. A confirmation dialog box will appear on the screen. Tap Confirm to delete or move the files.

Deletion Successful

As soon as you hit the Confirm button for any of the following actions (Move/Delete/Trash), the process initiates. Once it completes, a completion successful message appears at the bottom as shown below.

Re-Scan Google Drive

Finally, after you have completed the process for duplicate removal from your Google Drive, use the Scan Again button to recheck that no duplicates are left behind and your storage is now optimized.
