Software Guide for HostGator Email Backup Tool

Step-1:
Install and Run Tool

Start the SysInfo HostGator Backup Software on your PC as an administrator.

Sign In HostGator

Sign In to the software with the required credentials (HostGator ID, Password, HostGator Host ID, and PORT No).

Preview and Select Folders

You can find the tree structure containing all the folders present on your login account in the opening wizard. Preview and select the folders you want to backup and click on the Next button.

Select Saving Format

Please select the file format from the Saves/Backup/Migrate As drop-down menu. Here, I choose PST as a file format.

Apply Filters

Check these features, if required:

  • Remove Duplicate Mail: It will enable you to exclude similar emails from the selected folders.
  • Maintain Folder Hierarchy: Enable this option to preserve the folder's hierarchy.

Check Other Features

You can also go for these features:

  • Skip Previously Migrated Items: To exclude the previously backup emails from folders.
  • Migrate or Backup emails Without Attachment files: Opt with this option to back up only the emails from selected HostGator folders.

Additional Options

You can also go for these options:

  • Split Resultant PST: It will enable you to break the large Output PST file based on size (MB or GB).
  • Set Backup Schedule: Check this feature to backup HostGator emails on a selected day/week/month.

Specify Range and Name

If necessary, Tick these features:

  • Mail Filter: To separate the HostGator mailbox emails into Start Date and End Date.
  • Custom Folder Name: Check this to type the folder's name in which backup HostGator emails will be stored.

Step-9:
Provide Destination

Press the Path to Save button to select the destination location for the new backup folder.

Step-10:
Convert HostGator Emails to PST

Tap on the Convert button to start the backup of HostGator emails in a PST format.

Download Report

Saves the conversion report of the backup process by clicking on the Download Report button.

Follow the steps from 1 to 3 and then perform the steps below to migrate HostGator mailbox emails into different email clients.
Step-4:
hoose Saving Client

Select the email client from the Saves/Backup/Migrate As drop-down list. (The selected email client here is Gmail).

Sign In Gmail

Now, enter your Gmail ID and third-party app password in the software and click on the Sign In button.
Note: If you do not have a third-party app password for Gmail, tap on the below link to create it.

Apply Filters

Opt for these options:

  • Remove Duplicate Mail: It will remove similar emails from the folders selected.
  • Maintain Folder Hierarchy: Allowing to preserve the folder's hierarchy during the backup.

Check Other Features

Choose these options if needed:

  • Skip previously Migrated Items: Tick this to skip once transferred emails from selected folders.
  • Migrate or Backup emails Without Attachments files: Import only emails from folders, not their attachments.
  • Set Backup Schedule: Using this feature, the user can set the time/day to backup HostGator emails.

Step-8:
Opt for Optional Filters

Check these features if you want:

  • Mail Filter: Select this feature to filter HostGator emails into two date ranges.
  • Custom Folder Name: Check this to define the resultant folder name.

Step-9:
Migrate HostGator to Gmail

Click on the Convert button to start the migration of HostGator emails into Gmail.

Download Report

Finally, download the report on the conversion process of HostGator emails.
