General discussion on MS Excel and its spreadsheets.

Multiple cells get selected instead of one.

Postby donnual » Thu Nov 08, 2012 9:50 am

I'm just working on spreadsheet of MS Excel. I'm trying to select a cell but multiple cells get highlighted. Then I deselect them and reselect the cell. Again the same problem takes place. What's going on here? I've searched everywhere, but haven't got something. Please help me. It's urgent. All online users are requested to see this. Thanks.

It must be an issue of extended selection feature. I don't know if you mistakenly pressed F8 key. Just do one thing: save your file by pressing Ctrl+S. Then try to select your desired cell. If still you face the problem then let me know, I'm here only.
Cheers. :geek:

It seems you have enabled extended mode. Press F8 to disable it. If it doesn't work then you can disable it by pressing Shift key 5 times. Hope this will help you.
Regards. :)
