no sound from audio CDs

Postby joemccain » Wed Apr 09, 2014 12:47 pm

Why is that I am not able to get any sound on audio CDs while connected to my system. I have already checked volume track on my PC and I am sure there are no audio cable crack or distortions which are keeping me from listening to my favorite tracks. Ah.. well I forgot to mention that my CD is working fine, however I am able to listen to all those tracks after copying on my system but the system fails to work whenever an audio CD is inserted in the drive. What could be the probable reason of this failure? I am facing it with all audio CDs, not just this! Help

It seems the CD Audio is not turned up properly. Verify it by following the steps given below:

1. First check the volume.
* A sound icon should be on the bottom at right hand side of the screen.
* Double-click it to go to the sound properties.
* Make sure the CD-ROM or the CD Audio option is turned up. It should not be muted.

2. If the volume is properly set, now check the Multimedia properties.
* Go to the Control Panel and double-click on the Multimedia icon.
* Now click on the CD Music tab.
* Verify the CD Music Volume and make sure the volume is turned up.

If still you are having the same problem, you can also check whether the audio cable is properly connected or not.

Hope this would be helpful.
Regards. :D
