How to change fonts permanently?

Is there any way by which I can change the fonts permanently on OO.org Writer?
Whenever I need to create a new document, I need to select the desired font. This process seems to be wasted of time.

For example: I want this font "Monotype Corsiva" as a default font of OO.org Writer. So whenever I open Writer program, I have no need to select this again and again. Is there any way or technique to make this font permanently selected?

Hope you guys would have understood this.

Dear sulliviana, follow the steps shown below:
1. Open OpenOffice.org Writer

2. Click on Tools menu > Options...

3. The Options - OpenOffice.org - User Data window will be opened. Expand OpenOffice.org Writer from the list.

4. Click on Basic Fonts (Western) and select Monotype Corsiva from the list on right hand side pane. Click on OK.

You'll be done.
