How to move the paper sheet reference ?

Postby Joseph S. Klein » Sat Oct 11, 2014 5:47 am

Hi,

Can anybody help to find a way on how to move the paper sheet zero reference point (0;0) located on the paper left upper corner to another position ?

I want this because it will help me to develop a design where the zero reference point is shifted to a new suitable point inside the paper sheet.

Thank you.

Hello,

Use the method given bellow:
menu:File>Print Preview...
push the [Margins] button
drag margins

This method modifies the page style of the currently active sheet.
It affects all pages on all sheets sharing the same page style.

Thanks,
Tansenn

Hi guys,

For Draw:
At the top left corner of the drawing pane, where the rulers meet, there is a button showing crossing lines. Click and drag from that button. The reference lines (horizontal and vertical) for the new origin should follow the mouse pointer while you drag, and when you "drop" (release the mouse button), the rulers should reflect the new zero point.

Note that positive Y direction is still downwards. Everything above zero will have a negative Y coordinate. I don't know any way to change that.

thanks
