OO Base and modifying data by the query ?

Postby Tansenn » Tue Jul 29, 2014 9:52 am

Hello,

I'm attempting to modify the data in OO Base by the UPDATE statement in the query and I've got only the error message that inform me, that only SELECT statements are available to use in OO Base. A'm using the last version of the OO.
Is this error message correct ? If this is so, then OO Base is fully useless.

Thanks,
Tansenn

Hello,

The query editor in Base is designed to display resultsets and isn't intended for other uses.
For general SQL statements (where you don't need to see resultsets), Follow the steps:
1. Go to the menu
2. Tools
3. SQL and a window will pop up that will execute all your non-SELECT SQL statements, including UPDATE.

I hope this will helps you
Thanks
