It can remove password from the PST file and you can download it from their official site. After downloading follow below steps to unlock password protected PST files.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Firstly, close your Microsoft Outlook application.<\/li>\n<li>Now, the location of scanpst.exe tool which comes as pre-installed utility along with MS Outlook. You can find scanpst.exe in these locations:\n<ul>\n<li>In Microsoft Outlook 2002 and XP:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\System\\MAPI\\\\scanpst.exe<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>In Microsoft Outlook 2000:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\System\\MAPI\\\\NT\\scanpst.exe<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>In Microsoft Outlook 97\/ 98:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Windows Messaging\\scanpst.exe<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><\/li>\n<li>Launch it and click on the \u201cRepair.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note: Create the backup of PST files before starting this process.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open CMD prompt. To open the command prompt, click on &#8220;Start window key&#8221; &gt; &#8220;Run&#8221; or press \u201cWindow Key\u201d + \u201cR\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Copy the path of the PST file into the command prompt.<\/li>\n<li>Doing so will generate a PST file named as \u201cabc.psx\u201d, abc represent your file name.<\/li>\n<li>Now rename this PST file to your old PST file.<\/li>\n<li>Now type \u201cpst19upg.exe-newfilename.psx\u201d in command prompt and enter.<\/li>\n<li>When everything happens perfectly, you\u2019ll have a password-free PST file.<\/li>\n<li>Lastly, run Scanpst.exe and repair freshly PST file.<\/li>\n<li>Now open MS Outlook application and check whether is the file is safe.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Major Drawback of Using pst19upg.exe<\/h4>\n<p>This free utility comes with a limitation.
