Microsoft Outlook Express is an email client application that is widely used by individuals, professionals, and organizations. Sometimes due to urgent needs and requirements, a user needs to migrate Outlook Express to IBM Lotus Notes. As Outlook Express supports DBX files and IBM Notes supports NSF files, so you will have to import DBXto NSF. The main reason behind such conversion of DBX files to NSF format is to manage the compatibility issues.
What-so-ever the reason is, the question that arises in your mind is how can a DBX file be migrated or imported from Outlook Express to IBM Lotus Notes NSF format. Luckily, there is a manual technique to perform this action without requiring any tool or software. The only thing which is required here is nUpgrade.exe. To perform email migration in an accurate manner, IBM has introduced an Upgrade Wizard, which is also known as nUpgrade.exe.
Once the Notes account in Outlook Express has been successfully created, you need to select it, and then you need to click on the IMAP folder button (appearing in the right-hand side pane). After that, a new dialog box will appear that will display the folders which already exist in the NSF database. If you want to make some specific folders visible to everyone, you can select them one by one, and then you need to show the button.
Now you need to perform migration from Outlook Express to Lotus Notes. This can be done simply by dragging the emails and other data items from Outlook Express to the folder which is added from the NSF database earlier. You can drag multiple emails and data items in a single shot to make the process quick and easy.
Conclusion
There is a different method for exporting Outlook Emails to Outlook Express. You can perform the conversion manually and even with the help of the tool. But for DBX to NSF conversion, you will have to follow the steps given above. It will import all emails from Outlook Express to your Lotus Notes Account.
