How to use this tool?
The interface of SysInfoTools PST Merge is very simple. In just few clicks multiple PST files will merge into single PST file, below are the steps to use this tool:
- Add PST Files: Click 'Add PST files' option to select multiple number PST files to merge into single PST file from your desired location. Click next to continue on the next page.
- Search PST files: User can search PST files from the selected folder using this option.
- PST Password Pool: This option is to maintain pool for the password protected PST files, user can store password in this pool. Click next to continue on the next page.
- Select Merge Option: Select this option to select the method for merging PST files. Three methods are available to merge the PST files which are:
- Join PST files: Select this option to join PST files by creating new folder for each selected PST files in new PST file. Merging process does not effect data integrity of original PST files. Content of original PST files will remain unaffected.
- Merge PST files: Select this option to merge all folders of selected PST files in new PST file. Merging process does not effect data integrity of original PST files. Content of original PST files will remain unaffected.
- Merge Contacts: Select this option to merge only contacts of selected PST files in new PST file. Merging process does not effect data integrity of original PST files. Content of original PST files will remain unaffected.
- Advance Options: This selection include two options:
- Encryption Type: This is a special property of MS Outlook PST file, which create new PST file(s) in compressed mode. Compressable Encryption mode option encodes your .pst file in a format that allows compression, but the .pst file is compressed only if you have a compression program on your computer. Best Encryption option encodes your .pst file in a format that offers increased protection. If you have a disk-compression program, the .pst file can be compressed. No Encryption option does not encode your .pst file.
- Exclude Deleted Items: Select this option to exclude Deleted Items in new PST file.
- Merge Contacts: Select this option to merge only contacts of selected PST files in new PST file. Merging process does not effect data integrity of original PST files. Content of original PST files will remain unaffected.
- Select destination path for new PST files: Select directory path where you want to save new PST file. If you want to protect your new PST files with password then enter password for the new PST file. To attach the new PST files in outlook profile you can select the option and select the profile. Click "Merge PST files option" to merge selected PST files into single PST file.
