Having problem in email attachments

hello guys, I have been using Outlook Express from last couple of years. It never disappointed me except few days. Few days ago I needed to send an email in which I have attached a Doc file as an attachment, but I discovered a problem.
When I clicked on "Send", as usual there were two options: "Email" & "Internet Fax". "Internet Fax" was highlighted by default, when I tried to select "email" I just couldn't do so. And now it has become a routine problem. Whenever I try to send email with attachment I face this problem. I really don't know what's wrong here? It may be some settings problem or anything else. Please help me.

This is not a strange one. It seems you are missing some updates which have been issued for Outlook Express. Click on Programs >click on Windows Updates and see what's missing.

See if it works or not. In the top of Outlook Express, click on Insert. A new window will pop-up. Click on the file you you want to attach with your email. The selected file will be highlighted. Again, click on Insert. You;ll be done. Send the email. :D
